JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cytel is on an exciting journey of agile transformation and is looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to help us with this dynamic transformation phase. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in our agile transformation journey. You will work in fast-paced scenarios, managing complex challenges and driving the scrum teams towards successful outcomes. Your role will go beyond traditional facilitation; you will act as a mentor, guide, and motivator, ensuring that agile principles and practices are deeply embedded in our teams. You will also be responsible for managing communication with various stakeholders and handling tight deadlines with proactive and innovative solutions.
- Led and mentor more than one scrum team through agile transformation and scaling of practices.
- Guide and motivate teams by demonstrating servant leadership, influencing without authority, and cultivating a mindset of continuous improvement
- Facilitate various scrum ceremonies and ensure their effectiveness.
- Implement and improve agile practices to boost team performance and productivity.
- Manage communication with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Provide clear updates, manage expectations, and handle conflicts diplomatically.
- Use Jira, Confluence, and other tools for project management, progress tracking, and data compliance.
- Maintain status reports and ensure compliance with processes and SOPs.
- Identify, track, and address risks, dependencies & impediments; provide timely follow-ups and solutions.
- Drive metrics and data-driven improvements for sprint/release planning, execution, and delivery.
- Bring innovative ideas to improve team performance and efficiency.
- Take ownership of tasks proactively without needing follow-up.
- Support business needs and take on additional responsibilities to contribute to organizational success.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Certification in agile methodologies such as CSM, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, or SAFe Agilist
Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in a scaled agile setup, managing multiple Scrum teams.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) with a technical background being a plus.
- Excellent skills in Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex communication and stakeholder interactions effectively, employing influence without authority.
- Real-world agile experience with a data-centric approach to driving metrics and improvements.
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and pressure with a proactive mindset with a self-starter attitude
- Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, articulation, and writing skills.
- Ability to work in flexible work hours, with distributed teams, across time zones
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and support business needs.
- Experience with the life sciences industry and/or health technology products would be preferred, but not mandatory.
