Discover Impactful Work:
The Data Analyst III provides extensive statistical and data programming support across multiple projects within the Patient-Centered Research (PCR) group. The PCR group largely conducts survey (questionnaire) research with sample sizes ranging from quite small (less than 50 patients) to thousands of patients.
You would be joining an industry-leading team of 20+ analysts dedicated to PCR science and covering a wide range of projects (e.g., statistical analysis of clinical endpoints, psychometric analysis of patient-reported outcome (PRO) instruments, discrete choice modelling of patient preferences).
This role will primarily conduct statistical analyses of clinical outcome assessment (COA) data from clinical studies. Responsibilities also include data management tasks such as preparing CDISC-compliant analysis datasets (e.g., SDTM and ADaM) and related documentations to meet regulatory requirements. In addition to technical expertise, this role requires the ability to lead and prioritize multiple tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proficient in use of SAS to prepare, run and analyze research data
- Strong knowledge in following analysis methods (but not limited to):Statistical testing (eg t-test, chi-2 test) and analysis of variance/covariance (ANOVA/ANCOVA); Exploratory/confirmatory factor analysis (EFA/CFA); Mixed effects modelling; Various regression techniques (eg linear, logistic, multinomial, ordinal, Poisson); Survival analysis (time-to-event data); Item-response theory (IRT); Data imputation; Multiple testing.
- Reviews and provides input into statistical analysis plan (SAP), study reports, and other relevant documentation for internal or external communication.
- Validate and peer review other SAS programs.
- Act as technical consultant to other staff within PCR.
Education, Professional Skills & Experience:
- Master's degree or equivalent degree with 2+ years of experience, BA/BS degree with 5+ years of work experience
- Education fields: Epidemiology, Health Economics, Biostatistics or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of SAS programming experience
- Work experience with healthcare or clinical-trial data is preferred
Personal Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent understanding of and generous experience with SAS/Base, SAS ODS outputs, SAS Macro, SAS STAT and any additional SAS modules as required by the specific job position.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Collaborative team member, capable of efficient multi-tasking
- Knowledge of clinical good programming practices.
- Understanding and experience with R is a plus.
