The Indirect Tax Manager shall provide indirect tax advice to business units throughout Parexel globally. The Indirect Tax Manager shall assist with developing Parexel’s global indirect tax strategies and their implementation. The role will also focus on assisting Legal & Risk Management (LRM) and business operations in respect of indirect tax clauses for Parexel's contracts, mostly Master Service Agreements, Agreements for Services and Clinical Site Agreements. In addition, the Tax Manager will be responsible for special projects. The role involves taking a proactive, leading role in identifying opportunities and risks for Parexel globally. This rolewill support our internal teams and take a team leadership role in mentoring and developing less experienced team members.
In this role, you will:
ProvideIndirectTaxadvicetotheLegalandContractsteamsinreviewing Parexel’s contracts and draft suitable clauses to minimize Parexel’s Indirect Tax exposures without jeopardizing the commercial rationale for the contracts. Support the smooth implementation of Parexel’s contract strategies.

AssistwiththedevelopingtheIndirectTaxcontrolframework.Implementing andtrainingstakeholdersthroughouttheorganizationonthepolicies.
Proactive,leadingroleinidentifyingIndirectTaxrisksandopportunitiesfor Parexel.Supportin-countryVATauditsworkingwiththe Controllership teamandexternaltaxadvisers.Assistwiththemanagementofall IndirectTaxlitigationwhilekeepingLRMfullyinformedofalldevelopmentssupportedbyexternallegalcounsel.
SupporttheoptimizationofOracleandothersystemsusedtoproducethe Indirect Tax returndatatooptimizetheIndirect Tax set-upandprocesses,workinginternallyandexternallyacrossthebusinessunits.
Identifysystemsandprocessesoptimizations and lobby their implementation.
WorkcloselywiththeIndirectTax ComplianceTeam,controllersand externaltaxproviderstoensurethatalltransactionsareproperlyreflectedonlocalVAT/GST returnsandtosupportbusiness transformationtaxplanning.
Preparationoftrainingguidesfor colleagues whoareinvolvedindataentry impacting Indirect Tax accounting,specificallyAccountsPayableandAccountsReceivable, Investigator Payments Office (IPO).
You will have:
8+ years of relevant Indirect Tax experience within a large multinational or international professional services organization.

Education:
University Degree in Business, Accounting, Law or other relevant discipline.
Professional Qualification as Accountant / Chartered Tax Advisor / Solicitor / Barrister preferred.
