Overview
We are seeking a Senior Service Desk Analyst with specialised expertise in cybersecurity projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Service Desk Analyst and a proven track record of delivering effective cybersecurity solutions while providing exceptional service desk support to end-users. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining the security posture of our organisation while ensuring that our IT systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and timely technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to folder access, software installation, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with SharePoint admin.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Work independently to handle escalated technical problems and provide comprehensive solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities.
- Lead cybersecurity projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard company assets and data.
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, proactively adjusting security measures as needed.
- Participate in incident response activities, investigating security breaches and implementing corrective actions.
- Liaise with third-party vendors and partners to evaluate and integrate cybersecurity solutions effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in service desk support and cybersecurity, with a minimum of 3 years in service desk support.
- Proven experience leading and delivering cybersecurity projects from conception to implementation.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in configuring and managing cybersecurity tools and technologies.
