The Data Strategy and Operations – Apretude position is responsible for leading the coordination, integration, reporting and analytics of HCP (healthcare provider) and consumer related data for Apretude, a first-in-class HCP-administered injectable to treat HIV PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis).
The role is responsible for partnering with key US Commercial stakeholders to lead efforts to ensure the quality, compliance, and effective use of related data. The role will create the vision and develop the data and reporting strategy to inform our view of the HCPs and consumers. Data will be obtained from ViiV contracted vendors, internal data, publicly available data, and other sources. Data levels will include national, subnational, community organization, HCP, consumer, specialty, and product.
The manager will provide oversight of the processes to ensure compliance with ViiV SOPs and policies, and proper utilization, access, and usage of such data. The position will primarily be focused on PrEP and Specialty, but responsibilities will include work on other initiatives. An individual with strong analytical ability is required, but this must be accompanied by strong leadership, partnering, business acumen, communication, and an attention to detail. The individual will effectively partner with multiple cross functional team members within data strategy & operations, business intelligence, advanced analytics, market research, HCP marketing, DTC marketing, field sales, medical, payer, consumer, patient access, specialty, finance, forecasting, field execution, incentive compensation, digital, channel distribution, external specialty pharmacy vendors, IT, legal, compliance and privacy.

Responsibilities include:
PrEP Data Strategy
• Lead and continue to develop and implement the data strategy to fully characterize, measure and monitor the prevention market. The scope will include measuring how both health care providers and consumers engage in the market
• Collaborate with other analytics teams including sales operations to inform data strategy, reporting and sales incentives.
• Provide data-based support and guidance to best identify and prioritize which segments to reach and target from a wide pool of customers.
• Collaborate with medical and other teams to fully understand other diagnoses relevant to PrEP consumers to guide data collection. Use creativity, agility, and experience to quickly find and utilize the best available and appropriate data sources.
• Coordinate with team members to acquire, implement, integrate and provide access to this data.
• Coordinate data investigations and ensure overall data quality.
PrEP Tracking
• Collaborate with business partners to determine KPIs, metrics, and report design to track PrEP performance and potential.
• Collaborate with peers to implement reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with business partners to provide brand insights for the product.
Specialty Pharmacy Data Processing
• Provide data requirements, guidance on specialty pharmacy network selection and cost estimation.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams during specialty pharmacy/patient access, data aggregator and data integrator initiatives.
• Coordinate closely with the specialty pharmacy vendors and other data vendors to ensure data is timely, high quality, and complete. Lead the creation and delivery of key metrics and scorecards to assess specialty pharmacy performance and payment. Engage with specialty pharmacies to address and resolve any issues via intervention data monitoring reports and auditing.
• Coordinate closely with the data aggregator and data integrator vendors to ensure efficient and high-quality data feeds and processing.
• Collaborate with the specialty pharmacy, field, payer, operations and channel strategy teams to ensure appropriate data is collected and effectively used.
Specialty Pharmacy Program Tracking
• Work across specialty pharmacy/patient access teams to implement patient tracker to identify opportunities to improve patient pull through rate and present the findings to specialty pharmacy during periodic business reviews.
• Analyze specialty pharmacy program data to assess program performance, identify gaps in program executions, and present findings to specialty pharmacy team. Lead the creation and delivery of related KPIs and reporting in collaboration with the specialty pharmacy team.
• Work with the payer team to ensure that appropriate data is collected and guide them on data usage and tracking.
• Attend periodic business review with specialty pharmacy customers on behalf of specialty pharmacy team and work with specialty pharmacy business partners to identify opportunities within specialty pharmacy network to improve patient experiences.
Coordination and Operations
• Lead key initiatives as assigned by manager.
• Establish and maintain effective coordination among all stakeholders creating a collaborative network with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Recommend new approaches to achieve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Create SOPs and maintain appropriate systems, databases, and records accordingly.
• Identify and communicate situations, issues, or emerging areas that are potentially in conflict with SAS SOPs and policies to management, business partners or assigned compliance/legal partner as appropriate.
• Ensure that assigned initiatives are in alignment to SOP’s and policies.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor’s Degree.
5+ years of experience in an analytical type function, which can include consulting, primary quantitative market research, secondary data analysis, forecasting, or business intelligence.
Must have experience managing complex projects/data sets.
Experience utilizing common pharmaceutical, consumer, specialty, and/or payer data bases/services.
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization, collaborating across multiple stakeholders to drive results.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
Experience with HIV and preferably PrEP related data, analytics, and therapies.
Hands on experience using analytics and business intelligence tools.
Analytical model development and database manipulation experience.
Consulting experience and experiences of analyzing patient/claims data is highly desired.
Ability to translate unstructured data into actionable insights.
Creative thinker who is intellectually curious.
A high attention to detail.
Motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to forge ahead on initiatives not done before, recognizing there will be obstacles to overcome along the way.
Strategic mindset, analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, quantitative skills, communication skills, and project management.
Experience with knowledge of and understanding of specialty customer metrics to assess success of specialty pharmacy programs.
Experience and understanding of consumer data, metrics, tracking and analytics.
Experience with the specialty pharmacy and payer segment with a preference for specialty pharmacy/patient access experience.
