Part of the Finance Digital Transformation organization, the Senior Data Science Analyst will be working closely across the entire matrix of divisions and functions. They will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of analytics and data solutions – with customers across all levels and technical backgrounds – all in service to produce data insights that drive overall efficiency, productivity, and revenue. The successful candidate will have strong business analytics and communication skills, experience in data analytics and reporting tools, data ETL, knowledge in modeling and excellent project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with internal customers to identify optimal analytics and data solutions in their workflow – translating data into insights for use by 500+ finance employees and business customers
- Lead efforts to identify and present predictive drivers/leading indicators, trends, outliers, and patterns that uncover new insights to help guide enterprise-wide business insights
- Lead data science and data-driven investigation from ideation to data collection and exploration to development, modeling, visualization and end user training
- Advise and partner in building optimized data models for business needs
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Python and Power BI to process, clean, and transform raw data from various sources into usable datasets.
- Build and lead multiple projects – including planning, development, testing and communications
- Explore and implement new tools, frameworks, and methods to enhance data processing, visualization, and machine learning capabilities.
- Stay updated with advancements in Microsoft Power Platform, Python libraries, and machine learning technologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, master’s preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in a reporting/data analyst or data scientist role with progressive responsibilities and scope
- Experience building models and analyzing large, complex data sets yielding opportunities for revenue and/or process improvement within an organization
- Technical proficiency in Python and SQL
- Expertise in data reporting tools (Power Bi, Tableau, SAS Analytics)
- Interpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication
- Consistent record of achieving desired results without direct report authority
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus
- Hands-on experience with distributed computational framework, such as Spark a plus
- Command of statistical topics, including distributions, hypothesis testing, and experiment design
- Minimal travel required <10%
